Policies and procedures for renting with Globe Homes

Payment Options

Default payment method for Globe Homes is by a debit card from a U.S. based financial institution. There may be a convenience fee for other types of payments. Globe Homes accepts all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). We also accept echecks, personal checks, cashier’s checks, PayPal payments, and wire transfers.   

The full balance must be paid 30 days prior to your check in date. To reserve a property, a deposit of 50% must be paid upon booking over the phone or website.   

If you are planning to book a property more than six months in advance, we can offer 25% to 50% payment plans. All payments are due in United States Dollars, unless stated otherwise.   

Globe Homes welcomes guests to pay by personal check, except in the instance of last minute bookings. The following guidelines must be met for all check purchases:

  • All checks must be addressed directly to Globe Homes LLC.
  • All checks must be dated for the date of sale- no postdated checks will be accepted.
  • All checks must be made for the exact amount of the rental total.
  • All renters paying by check must provide a legible copy of their government issued ID (Driver’s License or Passport). 
  • All checks must be rushed delivery (2 day air domestic) and within a week delivery (International).
  • All renters paying by check must provide a working telephone number and speak with a Globe Homes Representative at close of sale.

All of these guidelines must be met in order to purchase a short term rental via check.  

Echeck

Echeck payers must pay 50% at the time of the booking over the phone, and send the ACH authorization form within 48 hours. Echeck payers must pay the remaining 50% either by echeck 60 days prior to arrival - or provide a debit card for the remaining balance to be charged 30 days prior arrival. Under no circumstances can we accept echecks for checkins in the upcoming 60 days. The last echeck payment could be made 60 days prior to arrival.

Fees

Our vacation rentals are rented by a daily rate, a weekly rate based on seven days, or a monthly rate based on 30 days. Rentals longer than 30 days are not charged transient tax. All other rental properties are calculated by the following formula.

Nightly or Weekly Rate x 14% Transient Tax + One-Time Cleaning Fee + One-Time Property Protection at $49.  

Extra person fees are calculated by the following:  

Each unit allows two individiuals per bedroom for no additional fee. Any additional person to the property's bedroom allowance is considered an extra person and will add $15.00 to the nightly rate. Globe Homes does not charge, or charge extra, for children under the age of 12.   

There are no additional fees associated with our vacation rentals. All rentals include cable, Wi-Fi internet, and access to amenities offered. Please refer to your specific rental for more details.  

Property Viewings

Guests are welcome to view our properties with one of our agents. Guests who will be in the area must have a scheduled appointment to view the property. Please note, out of respect for our guests Globe Homes will never schedule a property showing while the property is occupied. All viewings are $40.00 per location and can be paid by cash or credit card. Checks cannot be accepted for property viewings. Please note that the $40.00 charge is only to cover the cost of a live agent to show the property and is non-negotiable. However, should you decide to rent the property all funds paid will go toward your rental.

Security Deposit

There is no security deposit required for stays shorter than 30 nights. You are protected for any accidental damages up to $1,500.  The cost for Property Protection Plan is $49 per stay regardless of the length of your stay and will cover you for incidental damages. Our Property Protection Plan is not optional and is added to all reservations at the time of booking.

Globe Homes reserves the right to ask for a security deposit between $500-$1000 for extended stays longer than 30 days. Security deposits can be paid by US check or credit card. The security deposit will be run as an “authorization only” on a credit card and will be “dropped” within a week after check-out, providing that there are no damages to the property. Guests are liable for any damages that are considered outside normal wear and tear.

Payment Plans

If you opt to pay 50% to reserve a property and the remaining balance 30 days prior to check-in, the card you have on file will be auto-drafted 30 days prior to your check-in date. The date will be determined by the first business day within 30 days of your check-in date.  

If you have supplied another method of payment such as; check, bank transfer, or Paypal, you will need to contact Globe Homes to place your payment 30 days prior to check-in. You will receive a reminder notice; however, there may be administrative penalties in the form of a late charge for guests who do not complete their payment on time.  

Minimum Stay
  • During Slow Season(s), we have a three-night minimum stay.  
  • During Mid Season(s), we have a four-night minimum stay. 
  • During Peak Season(s), we have a five-night minimum stay.  

Our seasons vary based on the demand of Los Angeles’ tourism demands. Depending upon the time of year in which you intend to visit, our vacation rentals may vary in price.  

Vaction Rental Supplies

All of our properties have linens, towels, cookware, silverware, and dishes. We provide a limited supply of toiletries to get you started on your first day of your stay. Our guests are required to supply their own groceries; however, we do provide a localized room service delivery to all of our properties.

Mail

Guests should be advised that Globe Homes does not provide keys to mailboxes at any units for any length of stay. Guests are more than welcome to arrange to-door deliveries; however, Globe Homes assumes no liability for packages arriving before or after guest stays. Guests may make arrangements to have their packages shipped to the Globe Homes Main office. Please note that at this time Globe Homes only offers courier service via its meet-and-greet team members to deliver letters and small packages. At this time, Globe Homes is unable to courier packages over 25lbs or too large to fit in a standard sized economy vehicle.

All packages must be picked up by the guest during their stay. Guests who request a package delivery by a Globe Homes Team member must agree to a $15.00 courier charge to their card or security deposit on file. Packages that are not picked up at the main office will be held for 14 business days before packages are placed in the mail as a return to sender. Packages that are returned by Globe Homes via Return to Sender are subject to a $15.00 administrative fee. Please note, any packages that are forwarded to the guest after departure will be charged shipping cost and an additional $15.00 administration fee. All forwarded packages are currently shipped by FEDEX only.

Pet Policy 

We have several pet-friendly properties. Most of our properties only accept one pet at a time. We do ask for a $150 per pet, non-refundable pet-fee for short-term stays. Short-term stays may be two weeks or less. We also ask for a $500.00 per pet deposit for longer term stays in addition to the pet fee. Longer term stays may be two weeks to 30 days.  

Age Requirement

Any person over the age of 18-years-old may secure a vacation rental.

Occupancy

All properties we manage have a maximum occupancy. These occupancies are determined by the owner’s request and/or the ability to comfortably accommodate each guest. In some instances, an additional guest may be added; however, most cases are non-negotiable. Please note Globe Homes reserves the right to cancel any contract with any holder who violates the terms set forth.

Cancellation Policy

Should you wish to cancel your reservation, notice of cancellation must be in writing and received more than 30 days prior to your check-in date. We will refund the sums you have paid, less a $250 cancellation fee. If your notice of cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to your check-in date, you will forfeit all sums paid, except your security deposit, unless we are able to re-rent the property to someone else, at the same rate, for the same period. If the property is rented, we will only charge the $250 cancellation fee. In this case, this charge would be made against your credit card authorization. If the requested accommodations should be unavailable for any reason beyond the control of Globe Homes LLC, Globe Homes LLC reserves the right to substitute an alternative property of equal or higher value.

Check-in Procedure

Guests are encouraged to schedule their check-ins between 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Alternative arrangements must be initiated through our vacation rental agreement or in writing.    

Early check-ins or late check-outs are dependent upon the availability of the property for a small fee. Early check-ins can not be guaranteed in advance, as our occupancy changes on a daily basis. Guests must check with the Meet & Greet team the day prior to arrival or on the same day to see if an early check-in can be granted. Early check-ins and check-outs are not guaranteed and fees will only be charged if granted. If a guest is checking in or checking out the same day you arrive, we must reserve the time to clean the property to our company’s standards. However, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.     

Keys will be provided at the property location upon check-in by our Meet & Greet Team. It is the guest's responsibility to contact the Meet & Greet Team at +1 213 341 2341 ext 2 upon arrival to LAX and/or at least one hour before arrival to the property. It is the guest's responsibility to have access to a cellular phone for the check-in and check-out process.     

Globe Homes is not responsible if a guest does not contact the Meet & Greet Team before arrival. Although some properties may have on-site management offices, they are not responsible for helping our guests.

Keys will not be issued without a signed rental agreement, a balance paid in-full, or copies of the payer's ID on file.

Check-out Procedure

Guests are asked to leave their keys in a lock-box upon leaving the unit. Some units require personalized check-outs, which requires setting up a time with the Meet & Greet team to exchange keys. All garage remotes and parking passes are to be left inside the unit on the kitchen counter.    

Please note: Check-out procedures may vary by property and all guests should consult with their property's guest guide. Our check-out time is 11:00 AM, and late check-outs could be only granted one day prior departure for a small fee. We cannot guarantee late check outs at the moment of the booking, or during your stay, as our occupancy may change in the last minute.

We supply a guest guide in each property that answers most frequently asked questions. This includes questions regarding technical problems with the Internet, where the pool and gym are located (if your property has a pool or gym), and how to check-out of the property.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in any of the Globe Homes rentals. Units which possess outdoor patios and/or balconies may permit smoking depending on the property. Guests who prefer smoking are responsible for identifying designated smoking areas within their communities facilities. Guests who smoke inside of the rental Units will be charged an additional $500.00 decontamination fee.
